【Launching】Pure LNG-Powered ASD Tugboat Successfully Launched
On the evening of 24th December 2014, the pure LNG-powered ASD tugboat named Offshore Oil 525 was successfully launched in Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd. This tug is built for China National Offshore Oil Corporation and crowned as the first one of its kind in Asia.
This kind of tug only applies LNG as its fuel, which means it is environment-friendly and complies with the development direction of international requirement for this tug. Compared with diesel-electric ASD tugs, it can reduce the SOX and PM by 100% and NOX by 90% but save the cost of fuel by more than 30%.
The successful construction of this tug starts a new chapter for our national ASD tugboats with environment-friendly fuel. |
